Stregalina
Lina is not like the other children in the fishing village. She prefers the company of a gecko and a bucket full of beetles which along with the mark on her chin, convinces the local children that Lina is a witch. When Lina tries to prove them wrong, Lina discovers that she can fly higher than she every imagined.
Drawing inspiration from Aeolian folkloric tales of the Majare (witches) that were rumoured to steal fishermen’s boats while they slept and fly them to far away lands, this story is both fantastic and profound.
Illustrated in bright watercolours, Stregalina is sure to delight readers of any age.
